A hike in Räntämäki on 26 October 2024
Join sport tutors for a forest hike in Räntämäki on Sat 26 Oct 2024 starting from 10am. After the hike you can stay for a barbeque. CampusSport offers free sausages for 20 participants. A vegan option is also available.
The length of the route is approx. 3 kilometres and the event lasts for approx. 3 hours. The hike is free and all the students and staff members of the universities in Turku are welcome to join. You do not have to pay the CampusSport sports fee in order to participate. No enrollment in advance. If it rains a lot, the event will be cancelled.
The hike starts from in front of TYS Pilvilinna (Emmauksenkatu 7-9, Turku) at 10am. If you come by bus, join the sports tutors who will take the bus number 14 from the market square (platform C4) at 9.43am. The tutors will meet you at the bus stop. They will wear vests with a text “Sports tutor”. You will get off the bus at the bus stop of Ritzinkujan (stop number 1617). After the hike, you can travel back to the market square with the sports tutors.
Wear sturdy shoes and warm clothes. Bring a water bottle.
Accessibility information: The route is a little challenging at times. There are some climbs. If needed, we will divide into smaller groups according to the walking speed of the participants.
